Princess Party blog train Departing Aug 15

August Designer of the Month

Congratulations to Chelle, our voted Designer of the month for August!

She is a married mom of 4 kids, living in Oklahoma, although she tends to think that she lives in the state of confusion! HAHAHA She has been designing for a little over 3 years. She got her start by making sig tags, and things just sort of bloomed from there.

She and her husband have one black cat named onyx (short for De-monyx), and would like to one day have a big dog or two. Her favorite color is purple, thus I'm guessing came her blog name Purple Dragonfly Creations! She does like all colors with the exception of orange. Although she did mention that if used in the right way, she does like orange.

She stated that her favorite food was anything and everything. She also stated that she finds herself fond of Chinese, Mexican and seafood, and anything cheesy! She also made sure to mention to not forget ice cream! Her choice in music is eclectic. She likes everything from Motzart to Metallica. She also likes pagan music groups.

Most of the time, you will find her listening to rock, hard rock etc, and especially the hair bands of the 80's! Ahhhhh......fond memories of those groups.....LOL! She doesn't really have a favorite author, but she gravitates toward horror, suspense, etc. When she is not reading a good story, she is usually found reading up on different subjects like paganism, witchcraft, wicca, mythology, herbal medicine, comparative religion, metaphysical topics, paranormal, etc.

She stated that her favorite vacation spot would have to be anywhere near the ocean. Things you can find her doing to relax are making sig tags, litening to music, playing video games, cross stiching, crocheting or wating tv. She said that if she won the lottery she would pay off all her bills, save a little, buy a new house, buy a new car, put some away for her children to go to college on and buy new clothes.

If she could meet ANYONE in the world, she stated that she would like to see her first love again. When asked why, she stated that those reasons are very personal. Chelle finds inspriation to design from life, music, nature and of course family and friends. When asked if her friends could describe her in just one word, what that word would be, she stated the word would have to be SINCERE. I can personally say, that for the short time I have know her, I also find this to be true.

DESIGNER OF THE MONTH JULY 2010

Congratulations to Joanna of Jabi's Scraps! She has been voted as CAROABT Designer of the Month, for July 2010! Want to know more about her? Read her mini-bio!

Joanna Fritzkowska, joined our happy little group in January of this year. It was also around that time, that she began designing scrap kits. She currently lives in Poland, in the city of Bydgoszcz. She has been married for 3 years, and she and her husband have one dog.

Joanna's favorite color is blue. She enjoys Gospel, praise and worship and pop music. Her favorite food includes a variety of fruit. Joanna's favorite movie is "A Walk to Remember". Her two most favorite books are The Bible and A Little Prince. Her favorite author is Francis Chan.

She loves to travel, as long as it's over the sea. Her dream vacation would be to travel to Isreal or Egypt. When she is not designing, she loves to work out in her garden to relax, and she also enjoys playing computer games. When asked what she would do if she won the lottery, her answer was to buy a couple of houses; one for her parents and one for her and her hubby. 

If she could meet ANYONE in the world, she would choose to meet Celine Dion. Why? Because she is a huge fan! When it comes to designing, she finds inspiration in many things. Seasons, feelings, people all help to spark creativity for her. For the most part, she finds true inspiration from those that she loves the most.

If her friends and family could describe her in just one word, that word would be DILIGENT. Since being a member of CAROABT, I for one, can say this is true. She gives her all in her work, and is very happy to share her talent. Though we may have a short deadline to complete items for a blog train, she does manage to meet that deadline.

Like that 10 pounds lurking around the corner, I'M BACK!

That's right! Just like Robin mentioned, and as Sir Elton John sang......"the bitch is back"! LOL LOL!! I still have my handy dandy trusty rusty whip at my side, and I'm ready to jump in and get back in the game! First, thanks to Robin for having me back, it's nice to know that I really was missed! I missed you all too!

Just to let you all know I really haven't changed any, as my old self, I still have half a dozen things going, nothing finished yet of course. The grandbaby has grown by leaps and bounds, and is now almost 4 months old! I'm super-charged up to be back and helping out Robin again, and I'm leaving all the negativity back in the dust. The certain individual who caused me to leave the group the first time around is ancient history, and I for one will not tolerate any unnecessary BS in this group. Robin has worked too hard, as have all of you, to make this group successful to have it compromised.

Some Good News....SHANI IS BACK!!

So happy to announce that Shani is coming back and she will be our new moderator! Boy have I missed her :)

Yahoo Group Missing

The Catch A Ride on A Blog Train Yahoo Group appears to have been deleted and has been missing since late Sunday, May 1.  I do not know how this happened.  I alerted Robin on Monday and it is up to her as to what happens at this point as it is her group, not mine.  I will post an update hear if I learn anything new but please remember that Robin is very busy so it may take a while to resolve the status of the group.
